Put simply, this surf and yoga retreat in Fuerteventura isn’t about catching the most waves or nailing the perfect pose. Rather, it’s about building real foundations, in your surfing and in your practice, so that everything you learn actually sticks. Whether you have never surfed before, or never connected movement with breath, this is where it starts. No ego, no competition.
Just you, the ocean, and the foundations.
Over four days, surf coaching and yoga work together as one practice. In fact, daily yoga builds the mobility, stability and body awareness that surfing demands. Meanwhile, surf sessions and theory teach you to read the ocean and build your foundations in the water, step by step.
In the end, by the end of the retreat, you will understand your body better, in the water and out of it.
YOGA
Through sequences, postures and transitions, we work on mobility, stability, balance, coordination and breath, and how they all work together in movement. As a result, the practice helps you recognise your own patterns, asymmetries and limitations, building better control the more intensity and speed increase.
The goal, however, isn’t just flexibility. Instead, it’s learning to control and adapt your movement, in and out of the water.
SURF
We start by understanding the spot: the seabed, the currents, how the waves behave. From there, we assess everyone’s level and work on safety and the basics: positioning, pop-up, paddling.
Foundations are the heart of this work. Indeed, a house without solid foundations eventually collapses, and the same is true for surfing. That’s why we move step by step, quality before quantity, so you leave with a solid base and a clear sense of your own level.
HYDRATION
Staying hydrated matters just as much on the mat as it does in the water. That’s why this retreat is proudly refreshed by ActiveHop, a naturally brewed sparkling hop water with zero sugar and zero alcohol. In other words, one less thing to think about, so you can focus on your practice.
